International Yoga Day Celebration on 21-06-2026.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the N.S.S Department and Red Ribbon club of S.D. College for Women, Sultanpur Lodhi organized an Online Quiz Competition on 21-06-2026 to spread awareness about the importance of yoga and a healthy lifestyle among students.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Vandna Shukla. Students enthusiastically participated in the online quiz and enhanced their knowledge about yoga, its history, benefits, and significance in daily life.
In addition, students actively performed various Yoga Asanas at their homes and shared photographs and videos of their participation. Through these activities, students demonstrated their commitment to physical fitness, mental well-being, and holistic development.
Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Vandna Shukla emphasized that yoga is an invaluable gift of India to the world and encouraged everyone to make yoga a regular part of their daily routine for a healthy and balanced life.
The celebration concluded with a message of health, harmony, and wellness, inspiring students to adopt yoga as a way of life. The entire event was organised under the supervision of Madam Sunita Kaler program officer of N.S.S department and incharge of Red Ribbon club and Eco club of the college

Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Vandna Shukla, several students of S.D. College for Women, Sultanpur Lodhi enthusiastically participated in the IYD 2026 Quiz Challenge organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports through the MY Bharat Portal on the occasion of International Yoga Day 2026.
The online quiz aimed to create awareness about the significance of yoga and its role in promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The students actively participated in the challenge and demonstrated their knowledge and understanding of yoga and healthy living.
Several students successfully completed the quiz and received Certificates of Participation from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. Their enthusiastic participation reflected the growing awareness among youth regarding the importance of adopting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Principal Dr. Vandna Shukla appreciated the efforts of the participants and encouraged them to continue taking part in such educational and awareness-oriented activities. She emphasized that participation in national initiatives helps students develop knowledge, confidence, and a sense of social responsibility.

Under the able leadership of Principal Dr. Vandna Shukla, the N.S.S Unit, Eco Club, and Red Ribbon Club of S.D. College for Women, Sultanpur Lodhi celebrated World Environment Day on 5 June 2026 in the college campus. The objective of the event was to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to contribute towards a greener and healthier planet.
The program commenced with a tree plantation drive led by Principal Dr. Vandna Shukla, who planted a sapling in the college campus and inspired students to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts. Faculty members and students also planted various saplings and pledged to nurture them for a sustainable future.
During the event, the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance, reducing pollution, and combating climate change was highlighted. Students were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives and take responsibility for protecting the environment.
